Join Our Team: Coaching Opportunities at North Shore Artistic Swimming Club (NSASC)

The North Shore Artistic Swimming Club (NSASC) is seeking dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic coaches to join our team.

We’re looking for a National Stream qualified coach to guide and support our small group of experienced and talented athletes through competition season.

We are also seeking occasional coaching at various levels to support our growth and training initiatives.

About Us

NSASC is the newest name in Artistic Swimming in the lower mainland. We’re committed to establishing programming infrastructure to support high-performance competitive athletes, introductory, and entry level programming to serve North and West Vancouver communities.

We train in a variety of locations in and around the North Shore of the Burrard Inlet including the West Vancouver Aquatic Centre.

Competitive Compensation: AquaGo newly certified) $18.50/hr to $35/hr (experienced National-Stream level) depending on certifications and experience.

Qualifications

Proven technical coaching ability and a track record of creating safe, effective, and inspiring training environments.

Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster positive coach-athlete connections.

Exceptional communication and organizational skills.

Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Knowledge of Canadian sport frameworks, including the Long-Term Development Framework, True Sport principles, and Safe Sport training (ideal).

Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Check is required

Compliance with relevant BC and Canada Artistic Swimming (BCAS and CAS) certification requirements.

For Competitive Coaching Roles:

National Stream-Level: Competition Development Certified (or equivalent) and compliance with BCAS and CAS requirements (or planning to) and National Stream coaching experience

Provincial Stream-Level: Competition Introduction Certified (or equivalent) and compliance with BCAS and CAS requirements (or planning to) and competitive level coaching experience

A commitment to working with athletes of all levels, from recreational to elite.

Willingness and ability to travel nationally.
